Gonnelli Bookshop Auction House is pleased to present "Space and Its Roots in the Informal," an exhibition that explores the dialogue between form and space in art through the works of some of the most significant artists of the 20th century. From November 14 to November 26, visitors can immerse themselves in a curated exhibition journey that celebrates expressive freedom and the concept of space in artistic practice. The featured works are by some of the 20th century’s most renowned artists, including Turi Simeti, Giuseppe Capogrossi, Bruno Munari, Achille Perilli, Lucio Fontana, Agostino Bonalumi, Arnaldo and Gio Pomodoro, Bernard Aubertin, Afro Basaldella, Enrico Castellani, Carol Rama, and Pino Pinelli.
The exhibition offers a comprehensive view of various interpretations of the informal, along with sensory and spatial exploration in art: convex surfaces, cuts, materials blending into color, reliefs, light effects, iconic and repeated forms, unexpected and unusual surfaces. This is not art for art’s sake but a search for new forms of sensory experience, aiming to transform how one interacts with and perceives the artwork.
"Lo spazio e le sue radici nell'informale" invites visitors to discover a universe of pure, dynamic, and complex forms, where each artist demonstrates how the concept of space can be radically redefined and infused with new meaning.
