The first step for interacting with Gonnelli Auction House is creating your account. By registering you will be notified with appropriate communications (newsletters and postal mail brochures) of upcoming sales as well as of the publication of the auction catalog on our website. Gonnelli Auction House provides its customers with exhaustive and fully illustrated auction catalogues; our sales introduce artworks and goods ranging from antique books to autographs, from manuscripts to twentieth-century artist books, from prints to drawings.

Completeness, Conservation status and defects

To meet the demands of a national and international clientele, Gonnelli Auction House organizes public viewing of the lots in auction that are free of charge. The viewing usually lasts about a week, so as to provide anyone with the opportunity to check the quality of the goods offered for sale. If unable to personally view the lots, you can contact us in order to receive further information on the conservation status of the artworks you’re interested in.

Given the current health emergency, the artworks featured in our auctions will be visible by appointment only. We advise you to contact our administrative office to receive accurate information on how to view the lots in our auctions.

3. WAYS TO PARTICIPATE AT GONNELI AUCTIONS

Auction room bidding, in person

It is possible to participate at Gonnelli auctions in person, in the auction room, through a complete registration that allows you to be assigned a participation number (paddle). Registration can be done at any time, even remotely, by filling in the appropriate form that can be downloaded from the site and sent by email, accompanied by a copy of a valid ID.

Telephone bidding

If it is not possible to be present in the auction room, our staff will call you during the auction for the lots indicated by you in the appropriate form. We must receive your participation requests 24 hours prior the start of the auction. You can request a telephone participation by filling out the specific offer form or through our website, directly from the page of the lot you are interested in.

Online bidding with Gonnelli Live

Our auctions of books, prints, autographs, manuscripts and so on are transmitted in real time on our site through the "GONNELLI LIVE" service: a tool that allows you to follow the progress of the auction results and, after registering, make your offers directly as if you were present in the auction room. Also, you may follow and participate in Gonnelli auctions from your mobile phone by using Gonnelli App available for iOS devices.

Pre-auction bids / Absentee bid

A quick and easy way to send your bids is to use the online catalogue after you completed the registration. It is possible to send your maximum bid, also knows as absentee bid, (rights excluded) directly from the lot page of your interest. Your personal account on Gonnelli website keeps the history of the offers you sent, which can be consulted at any time.

4. COMMISSION / BUYERS PREMIUM

The purchased lots at Gonnelli Auctions will be subject to a fee equal to 26% of the hammer price up to €100,000 and 22%. Rates apply to all auctions.
