Parisiis: Ex officina Roberti Stephani, 1529. Pagine 205 [i.e. 199], 25.  Marca tipografica al primo frontespizio, frontespizo della seconda parte interamente inciso in legno. Grandi capilettera incisi su sfondo nero puntinato. Strappo maldestramente restaurato a carta f1, senza tuttavia perdita di testo, tarlo nel bordo superiore bianco dei fascicoli Pp-Xx, lievi fioriture sparse. Legatura moderna alle armi in percallina verde, con cornici concentriche impresse in oro e a secco e fregi floreali accantonati interni. Titoli impressi in oro al dorso, roulette a motivi fogliati alle unghiature e tagli dorati.  Ex-libris Bibliotheca Cortina al contropiatto anteriore, timbro di antico possessore al recto e al verso del frontespizio e annotazione manoscritta.

Bella e importante edizione dell'opera virgiliana, per la quale Estienne impiegò interamente per la prima volta il suo nuovo set di caratteri con tutta probabilità realizzato da Claude Garamond e stampò il primo testo critico dell'importante commento di Servio: «It is in this important edition of Virgil that Robert Estienne first made full use of the three sizes of his new roman type, possibly cut by Claude Garamond [...]. It became at once the most distinctive and influencial French roman of the century, and set a new standard of typographical excellence  [...]. For this handsome edition of Virgil Robert Estienen produced the first critical text of the important commentary of Servius; he was obviously quite proud of this improved text» (Schweiger n. 45).
