In-folio (mm 295x204). Leaves [10], LXXIIII with several woodcut maps in the text, 4 of them double paged. Title page in red and black ink, enriched by a beautiful woodcut frame with the printer’s mark. Mounted copy with minor restoration on the inside margine of the doublepaged plates, reinforced on the verso, but good copy. Modern binding in ancient parchment and minor restored lacks on the spine.



Third edition of one of the most beautiful and important work about islands of the Atlantic, Mediterranean and Indian Ocean. The work is composed of three big double paged maps, showing the Mediterranean Sea and the Europe, the Egeo Sea and the Earth, known to be one of the first representation of the Earth in oval-shape and for including one of the first map of the North America, here entitled Terra del Laboratore (Labrador); there are also one double paged map with a view of Venice and a map of Temistitan before its destruction by Cortez.
