On the verso the red triangular stamp M. Castagneri/ Via Passarella / Tel. 6910 / - S.F.R.A.I. (Studio fotografico Artistico Industriale) / Fotografie d'Arte, and some notes in pencil. Imprinted on the recto: M.C.A. Castagneri / Milano. Slight bending at an angle. mm 165x155.

Castagneri (1892-1940) lived in Via Passarella in Milan from 1927 to 1934, when he decided to abandon photography to devote himself to the paintings restoration. The momentum of the hat, the chiaroscuro and the fast hatching of the background recall the peculiarities of the Futurist period.
