Second half of the 19th century - early 20th century
Albumine applied on original media on which you read 'Underwood & Underwood Publishers – New York, London, Toronto, Ottawa- Kansas' e 'H. C. White Co. Publishers'. On each medium is indicated the caption of the image in English and on the verso the text is translated into six different languages. Sizes of the albumines: mm 80x78. Sizes of the media: mm 178x87. FIRST DOCUMENT: The images depict: the rubber tree, cotton harvest in a plantation of Georgia, the port of Cork in Ireland, Theatre Street in Osaka, Bamboo Avenue in Kioto, tea harvest near Kioto, grain harvest in Walla Walla (Washington State), a forest in California, a wedding lunch and a love scene. SECOND DOCUMENT: The satirical albumins, partially in color, portray women with collages of male faces with the following titles: Madama Angot, Alberto Conte Alberti, Evening for the benefit of the influence, Rifugio della Rosetta and Cimon della Pala.
