Legatura moderna in pergamena antica. SI AGGIUNGE: Fuchs Leonhart, De humani corporis fabrica, Epitomes pars altera. Lugduni: apud Antonium Vincentium, 1555. Il solo secondo volume in legatura moderna in pergamena antica.

I OPERA: Prima edizione di questo studio in cui l'Autore, un pioniere negli studi con il microscopio, illustra la propria tesi sul moto dei polmoni e sulla respirazione in linea con il dettato cartesiano, tesi che venne smentita pochi anni dopo la sua formulazione. Heirs of Hippocrates 602: «The present work, a classic on respiration, was his inaugural dissertation at the University of Leipzig and one of only four works published during his lifetime. He first showed that the lungs of a newborn infant would float if the child had ever breathed, and this discovery was put to legal use in cases of infanticide».
